Alterations

Almost all wedding gowns and bridesmaids dresses will require some level of alteration in order to fit perfectly on your special day.

All bridal gowns are fitted in house here at Serena Bridal and you will be advised of the costs at your fitting. A sample price list can be found below.

Unfortunately due to the number of bridal fittings we have to undertake combined with our privacy policy of one bride at a time, we are unable to carry out alterations on bridesmaids dresses, however we will give you the contact details of two wonderful local seamstresses who have years of experience in bridal and occassionwear and you can book a fitting with them directly. Please note, alterations on bridesmaids dresses tend to be much less expensive than bridal gowns as they are not as complex.

Hems

Hem alteration for plain skirt no netting                             £45 - £55

Hem alteration for plain skirt with netting                           £50 - £60

Hem alteration for beaded skirt (to be taken up at waist)     £55 - £70

Price of hem depends largely on the number of layers, the size of the skirt and amount of lace and beading involved.
